Brianne L. Prior,
D.C., B.S, B.A.
Dr. Prior attended Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, where in 2002 she received an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Cultures, Society, & Human Health – a major she created to encompass the sciences, Spanish language & culture, and women’s studies. Several months later, she relocated to Chesterfield, Missouri to attend Logan College of Chiropractic, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004 and a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2006.
Dr. Prior went on to pursue her special interest in prenatal, perinatal, and pediatric chiropractic care. She took part in a 180-hour program with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) over the next year at locations throughout the mid-west and east coast.
After moving back to the east coast, Dr. Prior was able to pursue her other passion for teaching by taking on the role of science instructor at Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Hoboken, NJ. She has been teaching there since October 2010 when the school first opened its doors. Since then she has been named Instructor of the Spring Term 2011 and had the honor of being asked to be the key note speaker at the March 2012 graduation. She currently teaches Anatomy, Physiology, & Pathology I & II, as well as Musculoskeletal Anatomy & Physiology I & II. She looks forward to adding Neurology and Exercise Physiology to her repertoire in the fall of 2012.
Dr. Prior joined Fischer Chiropractic and Wellness Center in September 2011. She practices chiropractic family care as well as several low force techniques that accommodate the needs of the pediatric, geriatric, and disabled populations. These low force techniques include Craniosacral, Logan Basic, and Activator Methods. She also uses soft tissue techniques such as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, Gua Sha, and Graston to compliment chiropractic by addressing the restrictions of the soft tissues that support the joints.
